With the awarding of the works in the charming setting of the Aurum “The Ideas factory” in Pescara, the Art Award 2014, the prize for art schools which has now reached its third edition, has ended. The panel of experts selected and awarded the four most deserving works, chosen from among the 20 finalists.
Overall winner is Edoardo Serra from the Art School Liceo Artistico of Livorno with the original work “The Wall” inspired to the street art. Best Italian work is “La forza dell’equilibrio” (The force of balance) by Maria Lucilla Scaglia from Liceo Artistico of Catania. The European title was awarded to Alice Poggio (British School of Brussels) with “Curiosity”, while the Special Prize Franco Pomilio was awarded to Camilla Algisi from the Liceo Artistico of Varese for her “Irreverente” – Irreverent. For the second year in a row, the most voted work on the Art Award Facebook page was also awarded: “Uno, nessuno, e centomila” ( One, No One and One Hundred Thousand) by Francesco Giannotta, ranking first with 1,262 votes.
